This ring toss game uses a spring loaded plunger similar to a pin ball machine to launch the rings toward the hooks in the felt lined scoring zone. The end zone has a tin formed back stop reminiscent of an old bath tub. The name "Olympian" is barely legible on the wood base. The arc above the name is from the pull handle on the shooter rubbing on it. It swivels completely around and tips up and down for aiming.
The game is 31" long overall x 6 1/4" tall at the backstop which is 9 1/2 wide at its greatest point. The rings are 1 1/2 in diameter. There are initials under the "Olympian" which I can not read.
My guess is it dates from the late 19th or very early 20th century. I've not been able to find another example of it and this one is in very nice condition and it works!
